Miami Vice {2006}
Plot summary:
The movie is based on 1980's TV action/drama film. We have two undercover cops James 'Sonny' Crockett (Colin Farrell) and Ricardo 'Rico' Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) trying to shed some light in to Archangel de Jesus Montoya-Londono's drug operations. In the opening part an informant and a couple of FBI agents are killed because of an information leak in Joint Inter-Agency Task Force (JIATF). The two not compromised agents meet up with the detectives and make a plan. And yes Sonny and Tubbs go in to deep undercover, taking on them selves the mission to bring down the drug lord. They get in touch with him through middle man and some meetings. On the first meeting we meet Isabella (Gong Li) who's the drug lord's banker/mistress. Our two heroes pose as drug runners and use many different ways to smuggle it in to the US (air/water(fast boats, tanker)). It's not only an action movie because there's a romantic twist in it also. Sonny falls for Isabella how predictable. They pop over to Cuba and have a "good time". Zito the boss's lieutenant is ever suspicious and never lets his guard down. One occasion at his club he watches Isabella and Sonny and notices that there are more then just business partners, and makes a daring plan. After one successful operation Tubbs receives a call what informs him that his loved one has been kidnapped. The ransom is part of the drug shipment. He has a "really though" decision to make or he hands over the ransom and she dies, or he and his team try to rescue her. Well you have to watch the movie if you want to find out.
Movie observations:
- The music is great.
- The gun fight is realistic. Also great sounds.
- Big guns.
-In the parking loat shootout, the guy who receives the head shot there's a big blood cloud but after he falls down nothing what so ever is left on the wall or around him. So any ideas ?
